Join the Stadium Fare team!
Ask any of the Stadium Fare volunteers to sum up the experience and most likely they all will say: FUN! The more the merrier, we’re always looking for volunteers to help us make Stadium Fare an even better event. Do your part to support your local community and have a great time while you’re at it. For more information about volunteering at the Fare contact us at StadiumFare@gmail.com.
Nadine Larsson - General Manager
Nadine Larsson heard, then pictured in her mind’s eye, the idea these people had and said, “Let’s do it.” Since then, she’s been a hopeless addict to the lure of all things Stadium. “We have so many talented, enthusiastic people here! They just need a voice, an outlet.” “We have such a great, strong team of volunteers,” continues Ms. Larsson. “We just have to make a difference. There’s nothing else for it.” Author, Speaker, Workshop Facilitator, Voice-over Artist, and now benefits consultant, Ms. Larsson’s past reads like a dime store novel—except there are no dime stores anymore. Once part owner of the lovely freighter MV Tukwila Chief, formerly of the Esther Charlotte Schulte Line, Ms. Larsson admits whole heartedly that her ship did indeed come in. “Oh well,” says she, “there will be another along… in good time.” No matter where travels led, the beauty of the Pacific Northwest, and Tacoma in particular, always brought Nadine back. “And why not?” she says. “This is it. This is what you make of it. I stand with a chorus of people who think and say the very same thing, ‘this is what you make of it.” Make it yours this summer, won’t you?

Barbara Purgatorio - Project Manager
Barbara Purgatorio recently moved to the north end of Tacoma in January of 2013 and within just a few months realized that this is a place she loves and is happy to call home. She retired July of 2013 and quickly found that retirement provided a lot more idle time then she was used to or needed and so she decided volunteering would be the answer. She now volunteers for Tacoma General Hospital and was recently introduced to StadiumFare. Barbara was impressed with the commitment of those people involved with this group and decided what a great way to give back to a community that she has adopted as her own. She loves participating in helping to grow stadimFare into something this community can enjoy and be proud to call their own. Barbara was thrilled when her daughter and son-in-law recently bought a home in central stadium district giving her more reason to feel passionate about a community where her family will work, live and raise her future grandchildren. Barbara hopes to see you at StadiumFare this summer!
